Segue Technologies Honored at the 28th Annual Arlington Best Business Awards

Arlington, VA – Arlington’s business community celebrated the best in business at the Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s Arlington Best Business Awards, held recently at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel. This annual event recognizes the most illustrious and accomplished businesses that have made significant contributions to the Arlington community. Included in those honored was Segue Technologies® winner of the 2014 Doing Good Award.

“Segue Technologies has proven that it meets the tough criteria for winning this coveted award,” said Rich Doud, Arlington Chamber President. “The Chamber is pleased to present this award to them, and our community is fortunate to have such a quality organization operating in Arlington.”

Made possible by the Philip M. Keating Fund for the Future, the Doing Good Award honors a company who is “doing good while doing well,” meaning a prosperous business who constantly makes it a priority to give back to the community. The award was accepted by Executive Vice President, Ron Novak. The company also received a $500 award to present on their behalf to the local nonprofit organization of their choice. The selected organization was the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, for their “cat room”, designed by Animal Arts, a nationally recognized architecture firm specializing in animal shelter and veterinary clinic design. The new facility includes cageless cat colonies; larger cat cages with spaces for hiding, perching, and stretching; enlarged windows to provide more natural light; private “get acquainted” rooms; new cat receiving and isolation rooms; and a state-of-the-art HVAC system to promote animal health.

“One of Segue’s core values is to provide meaningful support to the local community in a variety of ways,” said Novak. “I am continually impressed at the passion our team demonstrates through their civic engagement. This award is a well-deserved recognition of their enduring commitment to make a difference in the Arlington community.”
