AFMC’s Small Business Office Hosts Cyber Security Dialogue Series Outreach Event

The Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) Small Business Office will be hosting a series of Cyber security Dialogue events in partnership with other regional Air Force/DoD related events.

The first event of the series, which will take place on April 27, will be comprised of two panel discussions with open unclassified cyber security dialogue. These panels will consist of Government personnel and Industry businesses focusing on identifying and defining cyber security terms, and discussing challenges, best practices, and lessons learned from the two perspectives in an unclassified environment. The event will be held from 8:30 AM- 12:30 PM in the Endeavor Room of the Wright State Student Union Building in Dayton, OH. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and is open to the public.

Follow-on cyber security events will concentrate on key takeaways from this first one, and will align with future events such as Wright-Brothers Industry Days, Life Cycle Industry Days, and AFCEA and LOA Air Force Logistics IT Summit. Each of the follow-on events will have a small business tract that will provide opportunity for further discussions and matchmaking.

“Both government and industry realize there are many Cyber Challenges that must be addressed,” said David Hart Segue’s Senior Director of Business Development, who has been helping to organize and facilitate the outreach series. “Open dialogue between government and industry is critical to developing solutions.”
